OUTER MONGOLIA AND BACK AGAIN

We didn’t start Seaholm to build just another luxury automatic watch.  We set out in 2013 to build a durable automatic watch that can be worn on any adventure, during any activity.  We were fortunate that some of the most esteemed watch designers in the world decided to take a chance on a start-up from Austin, Texas.  White Brand Design has been in the watch design business for over 20 plus years and, recently, won another prestigious reddot@ award for product design with the HYT HO line.  Watches that sell for more than some of us make in a year.

Barth, one half of White Brand Design, is the creative force behind some of the most iconic watches in the world from almost every brand you can imagine.  And when we set out to design watches that could withstand any adventure, we did not know that Barth would epitomize that spirit of adventure.

In March of 2018, Barth and his girlfriend Zoë Klemme took sabbaticals from their respective job, his at White Brand Design and hers at Christie’s in London, to embark on a 6 month epic journey to drive from Neuchatel, Switzerland to the Mongolian-Chinese border . . . and back.

Barth's goal was to travel the fabled Silk Road, linking trade from the East and the West.  The trip required 17 borders crossings over a 16,000 miles stretch.

In the coming weeks we will bring you more content or Barth's epic journey.
